How can we Help You?

At Heartwood We want to give you all the help we possibly can. For over 10 years we have valued each patients feedback on our support and made improvements to it. When the hospital first started it’s journey with transplantation, we only had the upmost basic facilities to offer support to patients and their family through the full process. Today we now strive for the best relationship with our patients that is available and we do this with three key features to our support system. First is our highly trained clinical psychologists. They are well trained specifically to support transplant patientsm you can arrange to see them at anytime during the transplant process- you can bring along loved ones too! Secondly is Your Heartwood, this is our most recent feature added to our support programme that allows you to get into contact with other transplant patients who are being treated here. Your Heartwood is a social service we provide right here on the Heartwood Hospital transplant website. The forum based platform allows you to connect with other transplant patients by adding questions to the forum and having a private messaging section.

Here at Heartwood, we have some of the best medical practitioners in Europe, but sometimes, nothing can quite compare to speaking to someone who has experienced the same things as you.

So we introduced Your Heartwood to help you ask the little questions you forget to ask in your consultations

It’s free to sign up and get started on Your Heartwood, you just need an email that you can use to register your account. Once you have signed up you are free to connect with other transplant patients and chat- simple!

Money Matters

Money can be very difficult to talk about, nobody likes to admit that they are struggling. Our team understands that it may be a difficult situation to discuss with your family and we are here to support you every step of the way.

Our Money Matters scheme is there to ensure that you are receiving any help you may be entitled to at every step of your transplant. We will keep check of how your situation changes and how your entitlement may change as well.

We keep you up to date with short meetings that occur every time you’re situation changes, or by email if you would prefer. You can also call us about any questions and request a meeting if you feel like you need one.

The best part of this scheme is that we sort the paperwork for you so you don’t have to worry about that. We will ask you to bring in any documentation if there are any needed. A meeting will then be arranged to go through the paper work that gives you an opportunity to fill out the form with us.
